We understand some customers require more flexibility than
what the Storm Shared Hosting environment can offer. And some
of our customers maintain their own server equipment but require
a fast connection to the internet backbone.
With the Storm WebHosting | Colocation service you can place
your own server in our secure hosting facility, directly connected
to our network. Our facility is a multi-homed backbone consisting
of two redundant 0C3 connections as well as a GB Ottawa Hydro
fibre-connection and a connection to the Ottix Network. Our
colocation room offers peace of mind as we provide a secure,
climate controlled, UPS backup environment, for your valued
equipment.
For added security, our facility is above ground level and in a secured
building with an anti-intrusion pass code system, backup generator/UPS
systems, fire suppression mechanics, as well as motion detectors, and
several security checkpoints.
You may have physical access to your machine Monday through
Friday during regular office hours between 9:00AM - 5:00PM.
If you need to access your hardware at any other time, we
will require a minimum of 48 hours notice so one of our technical
support agents will be available to assist you.
Colocation packages with your own server hardware are available
starting at $150.00/mth - Please contact us for a quote. If
you require Storm Internet to provide a UNIX/Solaris Dedicated
Server our prices start at $150.00/mth for this type of dedicated,
managed environment.

are an existing client for other commercial services,
please contact us as discounts may apply.
*** Domain Name Service (DNS) hosting prices are $50 setup
fee and $50/year. If you are registering a
.com, .net or .org domain name, there is an additional
fee of $15 per year. For .ca domains, the charge is $35

1. Who can get this service?
Any business who is looking for reliable connections to
the internet for their server hosting options can subscribe
to our services.
2. How does the service work?
Please contact one of our sales associates and they will
see what space we have available in our server rooms.
If approved, you can bring your server to our location
and have it connected to the Internet on our network.
3. Does Storm have a DataCentre?
Storm is not a Data Centre environment. We do not feel
it necessary to locate all servers in that level of environment,
nor dowe feel it necessary to pass on those costs to you.
That said, if you do require a formal Data Centre environment,
we will be more than happy to work with you and one of
our partners who are in that business with 100% uptime
guarantees. If you are looking for value and a very reliable
hosting environment for your servers, Storm has great
value dollar for dollar.
4. How long does this take to get setup?
Storm can have you operational and connected to the Internet
