Storm Books $1.2 Million of Integration & Service Contracts
Ottawa, ON. November 13, 2001 - Barry Williams, President & CEO of Storm Internet Services (Storm) announced today that Storm has booked orders worth up to $1.2 million for systems design, integration, and supply management services from two significant new partners.
For Christie & Walther Communication (C&W), Storm will provide and manage a fully redundant connection linking their communications facilities in Ottawa, Brockville, and Cornwall.
For the United Counties of Prescott-Russell, The Services for Adults & Children Prescott-Russell, and The College d'Alfred - Storm will integrate a communications link though its network to their Headquarters and branch operations across Eastern Ontario.
Mr. Williams stated, "The demand for broadband connectivity continues to grow. Not just businesses, but entire communities are looking for cost-effective solutions. These two projects are made possible by our continuing commitment to partner with both the public and private sectors in order to leverage the comprehensive regional infrastructure we have put into place. Our continued profitable growth is fuelled by in part by these strategic partnerships".
The Christie and Walther Group of Companies(C&W) will use this Network/Bandwidth sharing agreement to link their call centers, (Metrolert in Ottawa, Canpage in Brockville, Pettit Page in Gatineau, and ClienTEL Plus in Cornwall). The network will also carry voice channels to the Wide Area Radio Trunking System throughout eastern Ontario for Tordiff Communications, in Brockville, Cornwall, and Kingston linking them to C&W's Ottawa area systems. The link is expected to expand to Hull in early 2002.
