Storm Internet Services and Beckwith Township partner to expand broadband services to all of Beckwith Township.
A unique partnership between Storm Internet Services and the Township of Beckwith brings nearly ubiquitous broadband coverage to citizens of Beckwith Township.

OTTAWA, ON, March 23, 2005 - Storm Internet Services, Inc. ("Storm") and the Corporation of the Township of Beckwith ("Beckwith") has brought high speed internet to Beckwith Township through a unique partnership between private business and local government. Storm will be deploying a unique distribution network that will allow blanket coverage for residents and businesses within Beckwith Township.

"We have really enjoyed working with the Township on this project. The Township Council has shown a very proactive view towards achieving broadband for the benefit of its residents. We look forward to continuing a long term relationship with them."

"We are hoping to use our network distribution design along with this unique local government partnership, as a blueprint for other Townships in Eastern Ontario to follow," said Williams.

"Township Council determined it was important for all our residence to be able to access High Speed Internet Services," Said Richard Kidd, Reeve of Beckwith Township. "To achieve this we have entered into a unique partnership with Storm Internet to provide coverage to the whole Township. The process has been an exciting opportunity in which we look forward to working with Storm Internet."

Storm will be deploying a number of distribution nodes throughout Beckwith Township. This will allow for blanket coverage (95% minimum) throughout the area. Utilizing both direct line of site and non line of site technologies Storm will be able to provide high speed internet and its other related services to the residents and local businesses within Beckwith Township. Construction of the first distribution point is complete. Completion of the remainder of the network infrastructure throughout the Township will be completed in the spring of 2005.
